DEVELOPMENT

Since opened in 1989, Citistore has successively opened branches in Tsuen Wan, Yuen Long, Ma On Shan, Tseung Kwan O and Tuen Mun. It has been established for more than 30 years.

From time to time, Citistore has been renovated and replaced with a brand new look. At the same time, Citistore has introduced more well-known brands to expand the variety of goods, providing customers with a more comfortable shopping space and all-inclusive Shopping environment.

Since 2016, CTBeatZ, a brand-new platform that integrates shopping and workshops, has been established to share product information and enhance interaction with customers when enjoying shopping, so as to learn and grow together. In addition, Citistore launched Citistore eShop, an online shopping platform, to provide a convenient, safe and simple online shopping experience to customers. Together with CU APP membership program which offers different exclusive and wonderful privileges, customers can earn points online and in-store simultaneously and enjoy fabulous rewards.

In order to cater to consumer preferences and market trends, “Home Style” was established in 2020 in Tsuen Wan, Yuen Long, Ma On Shan and Tuen Mun Stores, adding a sense of stylish lifestyle to customer homes. In April 2021, a trendy lifestyle homeware brand “Citilife” was launched, aimed to a Finest Lifestyle Circle for people to get away from stress and enjoy shopping experience.

C MART! mainly provides quality delicacies from Southeast Asia regions including Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Tasty chocolate, biscuits and candy gift boxes from Europe are also offered. Great Choice for personal use or as a gift.

KidS’quare
Available at Tsuen Wan, Yuen Long, Ma On Shan & Tseung Kwan O stores
KidS’quare is a wonderful shopping paradise for parents. A diverse range of high-quality clothing and appliances of babies, kids and pregnant women are gathered, providing parents with a one-stop easy shopping area.

Citilife provides a Finest Lifestyle Circle for people to get away from stress and enjoy shopping experience. Citilife is inspired by three core life philosophies – “Fullness”, “Complete” and “Plentiful”, offering consumers with diverse and innovative products to enrich customers’ quality of life. Backing up by our huge sourcing teams and expertise, Citilife provides a one-stop shopping experience with high quality and value for money offerings.

CTBeatZ    
Counter at Tsuen Wan, Tseung Kwan O and Ma On Shan stores
CTBeatZ is a newly created platform of Citistore, hoping to increase interaction and share innovative product information with customers. CTBeatZ jumps out of the boxes and discovers new and interesting products and activities, so that everyone can experience a different shopping experience, so as to learn and grow together!

Sth.
Counter at Tsuen Wan, Tseung Kwan O and Ma On Shan stores
Sth. is aimed at the young market and introduces fashion brands from Korea, Japan, Thailand and the local area, allowing you to stay abreast of trends and create a unique personal style.

Community Affairs

Citistore has sponsored and participated in Greeners Action’s Red Packets Reuse and Recycling program in consecutive years. During the Lunar New Year, Citistore encouraged the public to recycle Red Packets by showcasing the Red Packets collection boxes in all stores. Every year, we collected over 500kg of recycle Red Packets, to raise the public’s consciousness and effort on environmental protection and sustainable development.

Eco Drive ‘s “ ENOUGH PLASTIC” was first launched in 2019. It aimed to raise public awareness about plastic pollution. In 2019 and 2021, Citistore had fully supported this campaign by displaying posters at all stores, as to encourage our customers to use less plastic and take great care of Earth together.

To support environmental protection, Citistore has become one of the retailers supporting the Plastic Shopping Bag Charging Environment Fund Levy Scheme since 2015. Established by the three green groups: The Conservancy Association, Greeners Action and Green Power, this scheme provides a platform to collect the Plastic Shopping Bag charge from retailers as donation, which the fund will be used in waste reduction projects and promotion of bring-your-own-bag.

Over the years, Citistore had took part in the “Switch off for Earth Hour” organized by WWF, which all the exterior and display lightings of Citistore were turned off for one hour during the event date. It aimed to arouse public awareness towards the impact of high consumption of energy around the world, and to remind our customers and staff to turn “energy-saving” into a habit in our daily lives.

House of Joy and Mercy is a local animal shelter charity. It aims to provide temporary homes and seek forever homes for animals in need. Citistore’s own brand – CTBeatZ organized “Animals For Rehoming” offering free space for animal adoption in CTBeatZ section at Ma On Shan and Tseung Kwan O stores from time to time. Adopt, don’t shop. Helping homeless animals by adopting them instead of buying pets.

Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) is a diversified social service organization serving different groups of people in need, with units all over Hong Kong. Upon the opening ceremony of Citilife T Town, Tin Shui Wai in 2021, we invited and sponsored kids living nearby with stationery and daily necessities and strengthen the community connections.

Society Awards

Citistore was presented with “InnoESG Prize 2023 – ESG Co-Creation Award”. This represents a recognition of Citistore’s effort on encouraging sustainable development and proactive participation by employees.

Our sustainability vision has four primary drivers: green for planet, innovation for future, value for people and endeavour for community.

Citistore encouraged employees to participate in a heartwarming project via Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service – Hong Kong by creating 50 Christmas cards. This project aims to send love and care to the elderly who have recently recovered and been discharged from the hospital. To celebrate the 74th anniversary of National Day and upon each colleague partifipated, the sponsor donated a bag of rice to grassroots citizens. A total of 50 employees from Citistore and UNY participated, and ultimately, we have successfully broken the SDG world record.

Citistore was presented with “ESG Brand 500 High Impact Award 2023 – Environmental”. This represents a recognition of Citistore’s effort on encouraging sustainable development and proactive participation by employees.

Our sustainability vision has four primary drivers: green for planet, innovation for future, value for people and endeavour for community.

Citistore participated in “Planting on the Mine – Plantation Enrichment Project” and promote sustainable development to employees. This project aims at raising participants’ interest in Ma On Shan mining heritage conservation and safeguard our wild environment by participating related activities.

We has been cooperating with different NGOs / Green Groups, such as ECO DRIVE’s “Enough Plastic” project by raising public awareness of plastic pollution, and using less plastic. Furthermore, Citistore has sponsored and participated in Greeners Action’s “Red Packets Reuse and Recycling program” in consecutive years. Every year, we encouraged the public to recycle Red Packets by showcasing related collection boxes in all stores. Massive used red packets have been collected and recycled as “new red packets” for public reuse and reduce paper wastage.

It is honoured for Citistore to be presented with “Hong Kong Awards for Industries – Customer Service Certificate of Merit”.  This represents a recognition to Citistore’s excellent customer service as the only department store winning this award.

Hong Kong Awards for Industries are nominated and final judged by the HKMA and the Trade and Industry Department respectively.  This award is aimed at recognizing organizations’ excellent customer service and uplifting service level and competitiveness.

Citistore will continue our effort on maintaining excellent service standard to our customers.

It is honoured for Citistore to be presented with “The Caring Company” logo in two consecutive years. This represents the recognition of Citistore’s corporate social responsibility effort. Launched by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2020, the Caring Company Scheme aims to foster strategic partnerships between the business and social services sectors to promote good corporate citizenship and create a more inclusive society. Citistore will continue our greatest effort and support as a caring company in our society.

Octopus organized the Octopus Partner Awards for the eleventh consecutive year to recognize the outstanding performances and contributions of her key business partners. Citistore received the Octopus Partner Awards 2016 – USAGE AWARD FOR NEW RETAIL MERCHANTS (First Runner-up).

Citistore won the Outstanding QTS Merchant Award – Gold Award in Department Stores category which was created by the Hong Kong Tourism Board to recognize the city’s Quality Tourism Services accredited retailers and restaurateurs for their sustained excellent performance.

The Award is a biennial event not only to raise public awareness of the value of volunteering, but also to facilitate the development of sustainable volunteerism in Hong Kong.

Based on business vision and contribution to the society and environment, Citistore was selected by a professional panel of judges as the top 50 brands with outstanding corporate image.

Citistore received “The 4th Hong Kong Merchants of Integrity Award” by Guangzhou Daily & Ming Pao Daily.
